Eco Concept

A forest planting project is in preparation for the unavoidable emissions: 1-2 ha of pastureland belonging to the Protestant parish of Braller/Kerz (rum: Bruiu / Cârța) is to be planted with native tree varieties proposed by the forestry office, planted by volunteers under forestry supervision and maintained for 3-5 years. The plan is to convert pasture land – also in the land register – into forest land.

The parish church in Sibiu/Hermannstadt has been pursuing a targeted sustainability concept for several years now: green electricity is used, the lighting has been converted to LED and rainwater is used to flush the toilets. The church is home to kestrels, bats etc. and the hot water in the guest rooms is produced by the sun.
