Saturday [31 August]
The penultimate day of the Assembly
At 8.30 a.m. sharp, morning prayers are celebrated in the Reformed Church in the familiar format. On this day, the Southeast Europe group provides us with spiritual guidance. The word that stands over the day is “hope”.
The day’s introduction and future workshops will continue seamlessly from 09:15. Plenary sessions are scheduled to harmonise the results of the workshops. The work assignments for the coming years must be formulated clearly – but also feasibly.
Not to be forgotten is the task and opportunity of the plenary assembly to adopt statements on current issues affecting Europe and the churches of Europe. These also have their place on this day. The topics were determined on the first day of the Assembly.
The last opportunity to vote on the motions that have been submitted in the meantime by individual delegates and committees comes at 18:00.
At 19:00 we invite you to the last meditative evening blessing. Afterwards, at 7.30 p.m., it’s off to the familiar evening venues.
A long evening awaits the editorial committee…
